The truth sets me free

Life is made simpler when you get a hold of what you are dealing with in a particular issue. For instance in crime cases, there will be a profiler to evaluate the crime and circumstances surrounding the crime so that the homicide detectives can tell exactly what they are up against. The profiler might not get everything exactly right but will be close to the truth that will help the detectives hunt in a certain band of perpetrators.

I have been dealing with an issue for years now, very personal and close to home and finally I have found out what it is about. It is a very difficult situation but knowing what I am dealing with has made it easier to deal with it in a way. If you are in a battle with a cheat, you know not to believe everything he says; if you are in a battle with someone who has a certain mindset about women, for example, you know not to feed that belief in him. If you are dealing with a godly person, you know the Bible will play a huge role in his values.

So, Father I am grateful that You do reveal to redeem and that You have given me all that it takes to deal with what I find myself in.
Thank You, Father in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.

Writing blues

I was supposed to be at the library this morning working on some writing. I went shopping instead because my back was hurting and also the journal I have been making notes in has gone missing. I have no idea where it is and I can't believe I have to do my research all over again.
I have read an article this morning about potential and it is one I could relate to a lot.

 Many have commented on and commended my writing which I am thankful for, but I want to go beyond that. There are many talented people out there; indeed everyone is talented. The ones who achieve fulfilment are those who use their talents to touch others. Those who sit on theirs grow bitter and jealous because someone out there is doing what they would like to do themselves.

I do not want to end up in this class. Father, help me in my desperation, Amen.

Still I rise

It has been a very trying day today. One of going forward 2 steps and backwards 3 . Still I rise as Maya wrote in her poem.

Still I rise despite the storms,
Still I rise despite the setbacks;
Still I rise despite the rain,
And still I rise and rise and rise;
Rising upwards into my destiny and high calling.
I arise because I am blessed.

Floating ideas

Away from the computer or a notebook, ideas flit to the surface and I think of what I could be writing. Today I have had a bit of time to write and zilch, don't know where to start from. Is it because I am trying too hard, Father?
Help me start something and finish it, please in Jesus' Name, I pray, Amen.

Oh dear, what is happening to my good intentions to blog daily? Nothing. Just so many things to attend to.
Well, here I am and today I am writing to salute Obama. He has done so well and he has done wonders. That is how I will sum it up for now until I can collect my thoughts a bit better.
Rushing off to do the housework; the usual cooking and cleaning which are present each day.
Hope to be back. It is well.
