Green issues

I haven't been here in a while; very droll when a few weeks ago I wrote about blogging daily from the library. Sometimes I think when you write things down, challenges come to test your commitment to your goals and dreams. I have been so busy about very little but here I am again.

I have been thinking very much about environmental issues and how much the desire to look good and cool costs the environment something. Whether it is to own a beautiful notebook or wear expensive jewellery or buy cheap clothing, there is something being lost from the environment.

So how to keep it all in balance? How do we replace what we are taking without feeling guilty? It is nice to note that a lot of magazines now carry articles on doing things the green way. It means that at least one can change one thing in your current lifestyle. It is good to read indeed and even better to think and act on the different ways to save our planet for future generations.

Hmmm, green living. What is my contribution going to be?

It has been a good week so far; a bit busy and harried but I have been able to rest and edit some stuff. The next thing is to try to get back into the walking regime I have been going on about for yonks now.

I now understand what people mean by the flab that will not shift. I think I am eating quite well but my body thinks otherwise and I cannot pretend that I am unaware of the changes. I can only comfort myself with the fact that many have walked this way before where they had to make changes in their diet and get out of a sedentary lifestyle, cold weather or not.

I need wisdom to come out with a creative plan to help me look as sleek and lean as I would desire to be.

It is well and God is good.

Yesterday and today have been good in terms of the writing because I have made progress since last week! I have managed to look at some old writing. God is good.

I have been told to focus by a friend and she keeps me on my toes and reminds me not to get distracted by stuff around me. I notice that so many of us have very good intentions and dreams but it is those who focus and persevere who get the results.
Especially since I am not aiming to win awards with my writing but to bless people with it, I must keep my eyes on the long-term goal and focus on that by continuing to take the baby steps.

Thank You, Father for progress in Jesus' Name, Amen.

It has been a tough week; one that has derailed me and it means getting back on board which I am not looking forward to. I don't understand why I am feeling so tired too and I'm wondering how I am going to get back into a walking regime.
I should just go to bed and get some rest so that I can think properly tomorrow.

I pray that the coming week is more fruitful than this past one though. A day at a time, Nana.
